Common Troubleshooting Methods for Briquette Press

Briquetting press machine is a commonly used equipment in the metal recycling industry to press waste iron/steel/aluminum/cooper chips or powder into a high density cake for easy storage and transport. However, in the process of using, sometimes some faults will happen to cause the briquette press can not work properly. The following will introduce several common faults of briquetting machine and the corresponding troubleshooting methods.

1. NOT RUNNING. If the briquetting machine does not work, the first thing to do is to check that the power supply is working properly. Make sure the power cord is securely connected and check that the power outlet is working properly. Also check that the machine's control switch is on and make sure that the safety devices are disengaged. If none of the above steps solves the problem, then the fuse inside the equipment may have blown and needs to be replaced with a new one.

2.UNSTABLE PRESSURE OR EXCESSIVE PRESSURE. This may be due to a fault in the hydraulic system. If unstable pressure is found, first check the flow and temperature of the hydraulic oil. Make sure there is enough oil in the hydraulic tank and that the viscosity of the oil matches the requirements of the equipment. If the temperature of the hydraulic oil is too high, you need to check whether the cooling system is working properly. In addition, it is also necessary to check whether there are leaks in the pipelines and connectors in the hydraulic system, and repair or replace the damaged parts in time.

3.MOULDS CLOGGED. If you find that the mould is clogged, first to stop the briquette press from running and make sure that all power units have been switched off. Then, use special tools to clean the iron chips and debris in the mould to ensure the passage is clear. When cleaning the mould, pay attention to safety precautions to avoid accidental injury.

4.CYLINDERS PROBLEMS. If you find that the hydraulic cylinder is not working properly, it may be due to old or worn seals. In this case, you need to replace the seals with new ones and make sure that the seals match the specifications of the equipment. For cylinder problems, it may be that too much impurity has accumulated in the cylinder, resulting in poor piston movement. At this point, the cylinder can be disassembled for cleaning and the lubricant can be replaced.

5. REGLAR MAINTENANCE. Regular maintenance is also an important measure to avoid the failure of the briquetting machine. Regularly check the various parts of the equipment, including the hydraulic system, electrical system, transmission system and so on, to ensure their normal operation. At the same time, replace the wearing parts in time, clean the inside of the equipment regularly, and keep the equipment in good condition.

Briquetting press machine may encounter some common faults in the process of using, such as unable to start, unstable pressure, clogged moulds and so on. Most of the faults can be solved by checking the power supply, hydraulic system, moulds and seals. In addition, regular servicing and maintenance is also very important to prolong the service life of the equipment and improve working efficiency.
